David A. Taylor

CEO and President David joined UCG in May 2011 as Chief Operating Officer and assumed the role of CEO and President in 2012. He provides leadership for all University Center Member University relationships, academic programming and expansion, community engagement, strategic planning, finance and administration, marketing, operations, information systems and services, and human resources. Before joining the University Center, David’s 25-year career included division-level and corporate leadership positions at NCR Corporation, Teradata, and AT&T. He completed his Master of Business Administration degree at Anderson University after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Finance with Honors from the University of Tennessee. He also completed the Advanced Management College program at Stanford University and is a lifetime member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration for high academic attainment during his MBA degree. David is married to Laura Taylor, and they are members of First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greenville.

Jay Dugaw

Director of Operations

Jay is the longest-serving staff member of the University Center of Greenville. After serving on active duty (USN), Jay worked his way through college and graduated at 29 from the College of Charleston (B.S. in Business Admin, Finance). He greatly respects and admires non-traditional students and appreciates the challenges they must overcome to complete a degree.

Jay has served in a variety of organizations, including sole proprietorship, the United States Navy, a regional private company, a research university, and an educational non-profit.

This range of military, private, and third-sector jobs prepared Jay for his current duties. He is responsible for all day-to-day operations and technical support areas, including critical paraprofessional security and maintenance functions. In addition, he schedules classrooms that match instructional needs with instructional spaces. He coordinates small to medium capital improvement projects, including technology. Jay oversees both the front desk personnel and the Technology Specialists. Lastly, he provides counsel to the CEO.

Jay’s daily focus is creating and maintaining an environment conducive to teaching and learning. This support of faculty and students facilitates the growth of high-quality academic programs from our partner universities.

Robin Paul

Director of Library Services and Accounting Manager

Robin Paul is the Director of Library Services, Accounting & HR. Robin joined the University Center in January 2005 as a weekend library clerk and has gradually added other duties. She is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina and earned her Master of Library and Information Science )MLIS here at the University Center.

Robin’s responsibilities as the Director of Library Services include professional Librarian student services, library equipment technical support, library facility management and services, and delivering PASCAL materials.

Robin’s educational background includes the following:

  • Certificate of Graduate Study in Library Collections & Services for Adults, earned December 2003.
  • Master’s in Library and Information Sciences, earned December 2003.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Accounting, with honors, and a
  • Bachelor of Science, major in Management. Both Bachelor’s degrees are from Florida Atlantic University.

She is a member of the South Carolina Library Association and the Southeastern Library Association.

Robin Paul

Lynne McGuirt

Director of Community Relations Lynne joined the staff of the University Center in October of 2012 but is no stranger to higher education or UCG. Before her current role as Director of Community Relations, she was the Student Services Coordinator for the RN/BS, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs for the Clemson University School of Nursing. In her current role, Lynne can draw upon her prior experience in special event management, public relations, marketing, volunteer coordination, and advisement to bring a unique perspective to the University Center’s management team. She is blessed and thankful to serve an organization that provides educational access to the Greater Greenville community and enjoys working with students and University representatives. A Clemson Tiger through and through, Lynne has both her BA and MEd from Clemson and worked on the main Clemson University campus for almost twelve years as the Conference Manager and the Director of Constituency Programs for the Clemson Alumni Association. She also spent two years as the Resource Development Coordinator for a local non-profit organization in Greenville before her position with the Clemson University Nursing Department.
