Through the Office of Graduate Studies, Furman University offers courses leading to a Master of Arts degree in education or to initial certification, recertification, add-on certification, or professional development. Within the master’s degree, concentrations are available in Early Childhood, Literacy, School Leadership, Special Education (Learning Disabilities and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders), Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and Curriculum & Instruction. Furman also offers an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership. Graduate courses are offered primarily in the evenings during fall and spring terms and in the daytime and evening during the summer term. Courses are normally offered on the Furman campus or at the University Center of Greenville.
