Furman’s Undergraduate Evening Studies degree program offers the Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with majors in accounting and business administration. All courses required for the degree are offered during evening hours. Course offerings are also available to Pre-MBA students, Pre-CPA students, and non-degree students.
As a business or accounting major, you will study an array of complex issues from the modern business world, but your education will still be grounded in the liberal arts. You can also expand your knowledge through study abroad programs, meetings with visiting business leaders, and internships. A carefully designed curriculum which combines classes from the business and accounting, economics, computer science and mathematics departments helps to ensure that business and accounting majors are receiving a well-integrated, comprehensive education.
As a business major, your courses are concentrated in economics, statistics, management, marketing, operations, and finance. Business majors may also elect courses in business law, entrepreneurship, human resource management, investments, market research, integrated marketing communications, and information systems. The diverse course of study prepares Furman graduates for success, whether they choose to enter directly into the private sector or to pursue advanced business education.
